cool, powerful presence … can fill a hall with her own electricity… Daily Record

Hannah Aldridge comes to Ireland on a short tour to promote her new album. She was born in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to a famous musical father. It is a music town, home to Jason Isbell and the Secret Sisters.
Mixing her personal life and the sounds of her hometown, Hannah’s new album also draws in influences from across the rock genre. Working with people with one foot in country music and one foot in rock, Hannah Aldridge makes a fresh kind of Southern Rock .

Hannah  is the daughter of Muscle Shoals legend Walt Aldridge. An Alabama Music Hall of Famer, Walt Aldridge is a prolific and decorated songwriter of countless Number One and Top Ten hits recorded by the likes of Lou Reed, Reba McEntire, Travis Tritt, Earl Thomas Conley, Ricky Van Shelton, Ronnie Milsap, and Conway Twitty.

A spokesman added: “Mixing her personal life and the sounds of her hometown, Hannah Aldridge’s music also draws in influences from across the rock genre. Working with people with one foot in country music and one foot in rock, Hannah Aldridge makes a fresh kind of Southern Rock styled by Southern Gothic storytelling.

“She recorded at Creative Workshop in Nashville, where she worked with Muscle Shoals writers such as Mark Narramore, Tosha Hill, Matt Johnson and Brad Crisler and artists such as Andrew Combs, Ashley McBryde, Don Gallardo, Ryan Beaver, and Sadler Vaden .

“On “Gold Rush.” (her second album) she teamed up with Jordan Dean and M. Allen Parker and finally finishing by calling on her dad, Walt Aldridge, to master the record. It is a memorable body of work.”

In literature and in songwriting, the American South is where writers go to face their fears. Hannah Aldridge doesn’t just dip her pen into the well of the South, the Muscle Shoals native embodies it. With every song, she’s facing down demons of a life once lived from substance abuse to failed relationships and scars from the lashes of the bible belt.

The honesty Hannah Aldridge crafts into each track is off-set by her stubborn, maybe defiant, nature, which gives her music a hopeful silver lining.

“I start writing with ‘this is how I’m feeling and I need to talk about it.’ Doing that helps me sort out my own thoughts on it. My music is an introspective look at the things that happened in my life. It’s me trying to sort through and put feelings into words,” she said.

Sexy, sassy and seriously talented, with songs that linger on the dark side of swampy Americana, and with 3 album releases under her belt, Hannah is rapidly carving out her own career and devoted fanbase in UK, Holland, Germany and Sweden as well as in USA.

Aldridge has expanded her artistic vision with the ambitious, cinematic Dream of America, which is set to be released in 2023 on Swedish alternative indie label, Icons Creating Evil Art. A highly collaborative project, produced in three corners of the world with renowned Melbourne based artist/producer Lachlan Bryan, producer/engineer Damian Cafarella and Swedish mix engineer Frans Hägglund, the record peers through the lens of fading Hollywood starlets, charming psychopaths and weary vagabonds – navigating society’s underbelly through dark, romantic vignettes. Hannah’s haunting vocals, assisted by her father’s expert vocal production, deliver a cathartic message of defiance.

Hannah Aldridge’s fierce Southern energy reaches through every speaker, whether it’s in a dashboard doing 80 down I-65, a rock club in Amsterdam or a Honky Tonk in her adopted hometown of Nashville. The new album treads a fine line between the genial charm of Americana, and the raw, hypnotic and occasionally electronic stylings of what some might like to call ‘noir indie pop’. It is music for those looking to confront their demons without remaining tethered to them.

Special Guest John Courage

John Courage- "The Valley" (Official Music Video) - YouTube

John Courage has been honing his skills as a songwriter, guitarist and producer for over 10 years in the music communities of Northern California, with stints in the Pacific Northwest and the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico. With a flair for vintage inspired rock and roll that takes cue from the Texas singer songwriter scene of the 70’s, John Courage creates a sound that at once feels familiar yet urgent.

New styles blossom and are assimilated into the songbook, and currently John Courage performs as a solo songwriter, or a raucous, guitar driven trio or quartet.

With four self produced full length albums to his credit, and guitar credits on many other records, along with touring work on bass and lead guitar, John Courage now expands into the role of producer with the addition of Gremlintone Studios, a fledgling analog based production focusing on live recording.
